Celebrate Smokey Bear: An 80th Birthday Party In-Person
All ages!
Only you (and all your closest friends!) can join Smokey Bear for birthday fun at the Library! As the official spokes-bear of the National Forest Service, Smokey has been teaching us about forest fire prevention since 1944 with his signature phrase: Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires.
A representative from the Missouri River Wildlife Unit of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will share campfire safety tips and wildfire facts about Iowa and beyond.
At this fun birthday celebration, you will not only meet Smokey Bear but get to sing Happy Birthday to him! #SingForSmokey.
